How do I move my Chrome bookmarks to a new computer?
On the old computer, open Bookmark Canvas, choose Backup Thumbnails, then Export backup, and save the file. On the new computer, install Bookmark Canvas, choose Backup Thumbnails, then Import backup, pick the file and check the preview. Your bookmarks, folders and thumbnails are added.
Will importing replace or delete my existing bookmarks?
No. Import only adds. Bookmarks and folders already on the computer are never replaced, moved or deleted. Folders with the same name are reused, and links you already have are skipped. A thumbnail is replaced only when the backup's copy is newer.
Does Bookmark Canvas work with Chrome's own bookmarks?
Yes. It shows your real Chrome bookmarks and folders, so nothing is converted or locked in. Changes made in Chrome's bookmark manager appear right away, and the other way around.
Is my data private?
There is no account, no server and no analytics. Thumbnails, folder colors and preferences are stored in your browser. The only network requests are to the sites you bookmarked (to fetch a preview image), Google Fonts, and Gumroad to verify a license key.
How much does Bookmark Canvas cost?
